Im only half Asian, and not Japanese, so I hope its okay for me to voice my opinion on this. I dont think ahegao itself, in its original form/content, is inherently racist, but the way its being used right now makes meaheago think that it has definitely become yet another way to fetishize Asian women, which goes hand in hand with racism.
